A very similar sancai-glazed marbled 'pulse pillow' is illustrated by Regina Krahl, Chinese Ceramics from the Meiyintang Collection, vol. I, London, 1994, no. 277. Two yellow-glazed marbled pillows of this size and shape are also illustrated: One in Chinese Ceramic Pillows: The Mr. and Mrs. Yeung Wing Tak Gift, Hong Kong, 1993, no. 2; the other from the Collection of C. Adrian Rübel, in the Catalogue for the exhibition, Chinese Ceramics, Los Angeles County Museum, 1952, no. 81
