The lobed body of ovoid form painted in famille rose enamels with a continuous scene of scholars and their attendants in a landscape setting, between borders of ruby-pink classic scroll on the short neck and spreading foot, the ear-shaped handle and curved spout painted in blue with tendrils, the similarly lobed cover painted with a blossom forming the base of the bud finial (some restoration)
