Finely enameled in pastel colors with flowering peony, prunus and narcissus issuing from rockwork by leafy bamboo stems, a grasshopper particularly well depicted in iron-red and brown, all between narrow pink-ground bands of dense flowerheads enlivened with panels of flowering plants, the domed cover similarly decorated and surmounted by a gilt and brown finial in the shape of a Buddhistic lion (neck crack)
