Lot Essay

The Kristall range of Leica-copy cameras was made from around 1950 in a variety of models. The cameras were usually sold with Kristall Anastigmat, Berthiot or Xenon lenses. Antonetto & Malavolti suggest that no more than 1000 examples of each model were produced. The company were producing cameras until c.1964. Neither of the two references cited list the Kristall R camera.
