A Syrian bronze bowl of wide shallow form with rounded sides, the exterior engraved with cusped ogival panels containing arabesques and interlacing flanked by similar part panels, two on each side also with naskh inscription, dated AH1272, a border of interlace panels alternating with similar roundels above and below, the rim with a meandering stripe - 13in. high.
