Whiting & Co., stamped HAND CHASED, comprising teapot, coffee pot, two handled covered sugar bowl, cream jug and waste bowl, each pear shaped, the base and everted collar applied with foliate scroll and foliate wavy rim, the body two sides with shaped oval cartouche, one initialled, within chased lush ruffled foliate scrolls and flowers, and flanked by matted acanthus straps linked by flower spray, the pots with part foliate highly raised spout, and scroll handle, the hinged molded domed cover topped by fluted baluster finial--the coffee pot 10in. (25.4cm.) high, the molded oblong tray also initiallede, engraved with broad arabesque frieze, with applied bold foliate scroll rim--length over decorated handles 28in.
