An oak longcase clock, the hood with shaped pediment surmounted by three finials (finials lacking), three-quarter columns, glazed panels to the sides, plain trunk with break arch door, plain plinth on raised skirt (with restorations), arched brass dial with decorative scroll spandrels, raised silvered chapter-ring with Roman numerals and Arabic five minute divisions, engraved centre, seconds-ring below the twelve, date apeture above the six, signed Edward Dunstable, Appleford, rocking automata in the arch (lacking), silvered ring inscribed The Britannia flanked by dolphin spandrels, eight-day movement striking on a bell, with two weights -- 88in. high
