A GEORGE III SILVER COFFEE URN, maker's mark of John Robins, London, 1809, vase form, on square pedestal base raised on four ball feet, the base with engraved geometric bands, the base rim engraved with initials and date Dec 7th 1916, the body with reeded spout and bone handle, above engraved with crest, the shoulder engraved with band of small quatrefoils at intervals above serrated band, with two reeded upswept handles, the interior with detachble silver plated covered pig compartment, the spool form cover engraved with stiff leaf and serrated band, topped by covered urn finial--13¾in. (34.9cm.) high, gross weight 41oz.
