Lot Essay

The Hologon 15mm. f/8 lens became available in a bayonet mount for the M-series Leica camera in 1972. A special clip-on 15mm. viewfinder was also available. Unlike the Zeiss non-Leica version the Leica Hologon focused to 0.2m. Three batches were produced between 1972 and 1976 with a total production of 350.
