Lot Essay

This camera has been in the possession of the vendor since the early 1970s. White illustrates and notes a similar camera in the above reference. He states One ring camera allegedly made for the KGB is also known. The camera pictured is not identical to this example but would appear to have come from the same source. A less ornate, white-metal and more simply constructed camera was sold in Cameras and photographic equipment, 16 July 1987, lot 308.
