A Meissen oviform milk-jug, painted with figures in an extensive landscape within a quatrefoil cartouche of scrolls and strapwork in colours and gilding, the handle and rim enriched in gilding, blue crossed swords and gold painters number, circa 1740 - 5¼in. high. (spout and foot-ring chipped, gilding and enamels worn).
