FIRST (AND ONLY) EDITION of Steinbeck's Salinas Union High School Yearbook for his senior year; it contains three contributions by him, representing his first appearance in print: "The How, When and Where of the High School" (p. 19), "[Portion of] Class Will" (pp. 36-37), and "Woodwork,"
(p. 50); there is also a photograph of Steinbeck as Senior Class President (p. 9). Goldstone & Payne C1, C2, and C3. A very good copy of a rare and fragile item.
