A Staffordshire spill vase group of "THE RIVALS", modelled as a group of lovers beneath a tree with a gentleman surprising them with a knife, enriched in colours, on a shaped oval base, named in raised capitals and enriched in gilding, circa 1850 - 12½in. high (cracked and damaged, enamels worn).
