Lot Essay

Alfonso XII, King of Spain 1857-1885, son of Isabel II, was declared King of Spain while in exile and proclaimed King in Sagunto on 28th December 1874. He returned to Spain to lead the Royal Northern Army against the army of Carlos VII. The fan also depicts his most important generals: Jovellar, Mariones and Primo de Rivera
