A Regency mahogany and satinwood banded pedestal Pembroke table, the rectangular twin-flap top with canted corners above a diamond lozenge inlaid frieze incorporating two drawers on a tapering ring-turned shaft and quadripartite reeded splayed legs with brass castors, bearing paper label This table was bought by Thos. Gibson about 1817 for the back drawing-room in their house in Great Coram Street, Bloomsbury, it stood in the library at 10 Broadwater Down, Tunbridge Wells, original label transcribed by the same hand -- 45¾in. (116cm.) wide.
