EDO PERIOD (FIRST HALF 18TH CENTURY)
The circular dish set on a high ring foot decorated in underglaze blue with five jars set against a celadon ground, one jar white, one designed with waves, one with clouds and key frets and two with a surface of 'cracked ice'; the underside also painted in underglaze blue with three tasseled coin (shippo) sprays and the foot painted with a regular comb pattern--8in. (20.3cm.) diameter, small rim chip restored
