A collection of ephemera including: a Mick Jagger, typescript letter, signed, dated 25 July, 1969, Woodfall Ltd, Ajax Filmcentre, 65 Ebley Street, Bondi Junction, N.S.W. to Peter Swales [the group's general assistant], telling him ..I have been very pleased with the way that you have all been working on the record ['Honky Tonk Woman']..I will of course do all I can to get this "obscene" record played in New Zealand. ...I have heard that the "Big Hits" album cover is a success. Another idea for the title of that LP would be "Time Trip" or "Time Bubble" [latter called 'Through The Past Darkly']...Take care, Mick x 2pp on headed paper; an envelope annotated in pencil by Jagger with a breakdown of production costs for a record on one side and doodle on the other; a copy of a letter from Christopher Blackwell of Island Records, 31st May 1968 regarding plans for establishing a new record label Mother Earth; a quantity of Rolling Stones and Rolling Stone stationary; two copies of The Rolling Stones Blue Book c.1969; four sheets of contact prints by Ethan Russell (some previously unpublished); various press prints, largest 10 x 8 in.; two unused invitations to ..a Beggars' Banquet, 1 p.m. Thursday 5th December, 1968 at The Elizabethan Room, Gore Hotel, 190 Queensgate, London SW7; and related material.
