This painting is a study for the central figure in panel Van Rysselberghe painted in 1911 for the Nocard Villa in Neuilly, France. A photo-certificate from R. Feltkamp dated Tervuren, October 15, 1991 accompanies this painting which will be included in the forthcoming Theo Van Rysselberghe catalogue raisonée being prepared by Ronald Feltkamp.
