An early 20th Century twin cylinder vertical reversing launch engine -- 20 x 22in (50.8 x 56cm)

With brass bound wood lagged cylinders 2½in bore x 3in stroke, inlet and exhaust pipework with flanged joints and displacement lubricator with drainpipe and cock, outward facing valve chests with valve spindle guides and lever and quadrant operated Stephenson's link reverse, cylinder draincocks and pipework, studded stuffing boxes, 'A' frame incorporated crosshead guides, forked, barrelled connecting rods, four main bearings, the crankshaft with central flanged joint, disc flywheel with flexible shaft coupling (later) and two eccentrics, one with eccentric rod. Cast iron bed. Finished in green and polished brightwork.
