A mid-eighteenth century rectangular snuff box with cut corners, the base engraved with initials and the legend, "Witham House, Essex. Moderation", the lid engraved with a crest and motto surmounted by flowers and foliage, makers mark rubbed but possibly Robert Cox, London 1754 - 2.6in.
