A large Japanese bronze lobed jardiniere on eight elephant-head feet, each side decorated in relief with shaped panels of immortals, warriors and precious objects below ho-o in relief on a dense geometric ground, the neck with a band of pierced key-pattern -- 24½in.diam., inscribed Dai Nippon, Bunsei Nensei, Sei Minju.
