The design of these lights is a closely related variant to the drawing in the Museé des Arts Décoratifs, Paris. This drawing is reproduced in Ottomeyer/Pröschel, Vergoldete Bronzen, Vol. 1. It shows a more elaborate ornamentation, the branches being hung with beads.

A pair of similar appliqués, attributed to Thomire, are listed in the 1807 Chateau de Fontainbleu inventory," deux bras de cheminée en cuivre ciselé et doré à deux lumières chaque, ornemens à têtes de bouc, oiseaux, et guirlandes de fleur et fruits." The manufacture of this design of wall light is however usually attributed to Goutière.
