An Italian maiolica silver-mounted two-handled globular vase, painted in monochrome with Istoriato scenes within oval cartouches, and yellow scrolling foliage, grotesques and acorns on a dark blue ground, the silver cover with acorn finial, the base with four hoof feet, 19th Century -- 12½in. high.
