A well engineered exhibition standard 2in. scale model 'improved' Minnie single cylinder, two speed four shaft general purpose traction engine, Reg. No. LNS 987, built by L.N. Smith -- 24 x 36in.(61 x 91.5cm)
With braized copper boiler with fittings including water and pressure gauges, safety, blower, injector, clack and blowdown valves. Engine details include cylinder 1½in. bore x 2in. stroke, footplate controlled draincocks, bar-type crosshead guides, Stephenson's link reverse, counterbalanced crankshaft, eccentric driven feed pump with compression dome and bypass and spoked, straked wheels with brass hubcaps, damper, injector, cable drum, cable and fairleads, band brake and wooden foot board and tool box. Finished in green, black and red with yellow and black lining. Boiler certificate valid to 13.7.90, safety valve blanking plate
