A George IV oval teapot with foliate-decorated, leaf-capped rising curved spout, ebonised wood scroll handle, applied gadroon, shell and foliate everted rim and domed hinged cover with turned wood finial, one side engraved with an armorial, crest and motto, marks indistinct, possibly Rebecca Emes and Edward Barnard, London 1827, also struck with Continental control marks - 5¼in, 18.25oz. gross.
