Original art, cover recreation Amazing Spider-Man No. 40. Upon inheriting Spider-Man in issue No. 39. Romita was thrust into the decisive confrontation of Spider-Man and his greatest adversary, the Green Goblin. This historic cover is the first Romita cover with Spider-Man in full costume along with the Goblin. The artist has created this cover for the first time in full cover. As opposed to recreating this cover in comic industry methods, begining with black pen outline and adding color, Mr. Romita has opted to use classic painting techniques. Mixed media on Bristol board.
