Lot Essay

The Iron Ship Pride of Canada of 955 tons, was built in 1855 by Laurence, Hill & Co. of Port Glasgow; she measured 204' in length, 31'2" in beam and 21'9"in depth. She was built for Jacot & Co. and registered in Liverpool, and her Master was Captain H. Flinn. Pride of Canada traded between Liverpool and India henceforth. In 1862 she was sold to Taylor & Co. and then again in 1866 to Playfair & Co.

She was abandoned in 1878
