A William IV travelling communion set, each piece engraved with the Holy Monogram within a sunburst cartouche, comprising: a gilt-lined chalice, the bowl attaching to the base with a bayonet fitting, the domed base designed to hold the communion wine and with a screw lid, with a separate paten with moulded rim, in a red leather plush-lined case, maker's mark indistinct, probably Reilly and Storer, London 1831 - height of chalice when assembled 4in.
