A Safavid tinned copper bowl with slightly flaring neck, decorated to the neck with a wide band of calligraphy between two bands of interlacing foliage, owner's name -- 9in. wide, dated 1056 A.H., corresponding to 1646 A.D.; and a tinned copper circular dish with central medallion surrounded by foliate cartouches and pendants, owner's name -- 14in. diam., dated 1021 A.H., corresponding to 1611 A.D.
