A pair of Satsuma oviform vases painted and heavily gilt with rectangular panels of warriors in landscapes and officials and ladies in interiors alternating with panels of chrysanthemum sprays, all on a ground of phoenix, scrolling flowerheads and geometric patterns (one restored) -- 17¾in. high.
