A 19th century Austro-Hungarian walnut pipe with white metal lid and collar, the carved bowl depicting Mercury, seated, his shield bearing initials C W, the reservoir in the form of a fish with japing jaws -- 4in. high; and a Flemish cherrywood pipe, the bowl carved in high relief with hounds and deer, the reservoir modelled with the head of a chamois with inset glass eyes, and inscribed ANTWERP, with horn mouthpiece -- 11in. high, overall.
