Also known as Portuguese Bullfighter I & II, these figures were modeled while the sculptor worked in Spain (1920). These bullfighters are dressed in traditional 18th Century costume and ride Andalusian horses as the fights were ceremonial and not blood sport. Another pair was sold in these rooms, December 1984, from the estate of Gladys F. Harriman.
