A 4pp. typed review of Modern American Poetry edited by Louis Untermeyer, signed, addressed 155 Westbourne Terrace, W2, and written for the Nation, a working copy with numerous corrections in Huxley's hand. He comments that the problem he has is in differentiating between the talented poets of any country; each poet can be inspired by the same things whatever country he or she comes from: 'After all, most of us have known for some time past that top-hats and motor cars were mentionable in verse and that a still life of pots and pans may be more beautiful than the picture of an unclothed nymph ...'
