A 2pp. a.l.s. 'Edward P.', dated Canadian National Railways, Private Car "Balmoral", Sunday [13th October, 1924], to Miss Embree McBride discussing a party the night before 'Its been so nice seeing you again and I loved our long talks not that I'm not feeling a tiny bit bad over some of the things I said -- Still its far better to face facts is'nt it and when two people know and understand each other one can't help it...I just love dancing with you - We always have kind of hit it off that way and this time better than ever...Bless you for being so sweet to me...'; and another dated S.S. Olympic, 27th October 1924, to Miss McBride, thanking her for her letter ...I wish we could have talked longer too 'cos me were getting to know each other and warming up when I had to quit - but somehow its always that way in my life', discussing the rest of the trip 'I got absolutely fed up with dancing and (tho - you'll say I'm a liar) have'nt enjoyed dancing with anyone since you - I'm not a liar in this case and anyway not ever to you...', and in reply to a request 'Sir Walter Peacock says you told him you would like...a photograph of myself - Now that makes me quite cross 'cos why on earth did'nt you say that to me instead of the him? - You are very silly and I nearly wont send you one!!...am in no great hurry to return to England...Thank goodness I miss the general elections'; together with the original stamped addressed envelopes.
