A German 19th Century openwork tapering oval swing-handled pedestal sugar basin with cut glass liner, on a foliate-decorated rising foot and with similarly-decorated handle with vacant cartouche, the body formed from two die-stamped squirrel, acorn and oak leaf mounts and two smaller mounts die-stamped with exotic birds, shells and foliage, the rim die-stamped with a frieze of trailing vines - 6¼in; and a Continental shaped oval bonbon dish pierced and stamped with birds and bow, floral and foliate swags, the centre decorated with dancing putti - 7¼in.
