Spindle-turnings the use of dot inlay and the distinctive fielded panels all have similarities to the documented work of Charles Bevan and Bruce Talbert, although the naturalistic style of marquetry points to another hand. The paired birds are emblematic of love indicating that the suite may originally have been a wedding gift. (3)
