'Oxford and Cambridge Boating', square-shaped metal rowing buckle, with inscription at head and foot, decorated with two vignette portraits in relief to either side of a pair of escutcheons surrounded by a laurel wreath, the portraits both entitled 'stroke', with a skiff at foot, circa 1875 -- 2½in wide.
