A finely detailed fully framed partially planked unrigged model of the Royal Naval fifth rate of fifty guns 'Bristol' of circa 1577, built by T. Wake -- 7½ x 22in.(19 x 56cm)
The hull, of boxwood, fully planked on the starboard side is fitted with chain plates and gun ports, fully carved stern and quarter detail and deck details including head, bitts, catheads with sheaves, companionways, gratings, belaying rails, canopy, ship's bell, capstan, balustrading and double ship's wheel. The port side is unplanked to reveal deck beams and construction details of main and lower decks, frames and keel. Finished in matt varnish. Stand and glazed case
