A sailors wooden waterline model of a barque with masts, spars, standing and running rigging, simple deck details (some pieces missing), finished in black, red, white and varnish and mounted on a carved painted moulded seascape with engraved brass plate inscribed 'This barque was made by my brother and Alfred Mc Andrew'. The wood encased in the glass is part of the French Battleship 'Duguay Trouin' captured in 1905 after escaping from Trafalgar. Glazed case -- 12¼ x 20¼in.(31 x 51.5cm)
