A Victorian four-piece oval tea and coffee service chased with fluted columns with lion's masks and paws joined by a laurel leaf and berry swags, each also chased with friezes of rising laurel leaves and berries, fluting, paterae and scallops, the coffee pot and teapot with foliate-decorated angular spouts, ebonised wood scroll handles with cast foliate terinals, and domed hinged covers decorated with laurel leaves and berries and with fluted ebonised wood oval finials, Frederick Elkington, Birmingham 1877 - height of coffee pot 9½in, 81oz. gross, in a fitted oak case with brass carrying handles.
