An early 19th-Century lacquered brass Watkins-type monocular microscope, the rectangular section pillar with rack and pinion focusing adjustment for stage and body tube, the lower limb with compass joint, mounted with a magnifier, on tapering pillar support and folding tripod base incorporating the plano-concave mirror, with accessories, including 2 objectives with lieberkuhn, frog plate and live box, in fitted mahogany case - 10¾in. (27.3cm.) wide.
