A beehive shaped box and flat cover painted and heavily gilt with a rectangular panel of Samurai warriors on a bridge, the reverse with bijin picnicing on a carpet in a landscape of maples and flowers, on a dark blue ground of scattered flowerheads and foliage, below formal borders (slight gilt rubbing) -- 2½in. high, signed Kinkozan.
