A bronze socketed celt with curved blade and side loop, encircling ribs at the head -- 2½in. (6.5cm.) long; and a bronze palstave with flanges and splayed blade -- 6¾in. (17cm.) long, from Shoeburyness, Essex, both late Bronze Age, late 2nd-early 1st millennium B.C.
