An 18th century oak longcase clock, later carved with stylized griffins, an urn and foliage, the domed movement painted with a seascape, the dial with pierced brass spandrels, the silvered chapter ring with Roman and Arabic numerals, with moon phase and date subsidiary, signed J. Batty, HALIFAX -- 82in. high, with two weights and a pendulum.
