Printed in Hebrew and Spanish on facing pages, this copy does not contain the engraved plates and maps (after the London Haggadah of 1806) which were printed on separate and unnumbered leaves and were not attached in all copies; with a dedication in Spanish to Don A. Cardoze from Gibraltar on p. [3]; on the final page there is a recipe for making charoset.
4to, 237 x 190 mm. (9¼ x 7½ in.), contemporary calf, rebacked, corners renewed, new endpapers; browned and stained, some corners chipped and/or tape-repaired.

This edition, the only Spanish translation of the Haggadah to be printed in London, exemplifies the survival into the nineteenth century of the Spanish language among the Sephardic Jews of England. Don Aaron Cardoze, to whom this Haggadah is dedicated, was one of the foremost citizens of Gibraltar.
