A FRENCH FOUR PIECE SILVER TEA AND COFFEE SERVICE, maker's mark of Crosviller & Glachant, Paris, circa 1865, also stamped DUPONCHEL A PARIS, in the Persian taste, comprising: a coffee pot, teapot, covered sugar bowl, cream jug and a tea strainer, each baluster, flat chased overall with arabesques and stylized foliage on matted ground, with reeded mid-band, the neck with mid-band and stiff leaves above, the hinged tapering covers flat chased with similar decoration and with baluster finials, each engraved with a monogram within a strapwork cartouche--coffee pot 10in.
