A SILVER SALVER, maker's mark W. Adams, New York, mid 19th Century, oval, on four openwork foliate scroll tapering feet, the central ground engraved with presentation inscription dated 1859, either side finely engraved with architectural scene, one with sail boat, above with pheasant, below with flowerhead, all enclosed by undulating foliate scrolls and trelliswork, the molded border with applied gadrooned rim--13¼in. (33.6cm.) long, 25oz.
