A pair of arched oblong cast plaques, each depicting a seated classical maiden holding aloft an olive branch, each with signature C. H. Pillet, one also with presentation inscription - 7¼in.

These plaques were originally apparently parts of book ends presentated to tennis champion F. G. Lowe, one time olympic gold medallist. It is thought that the presentation took place in 1912. (2)
