Four albums, three concertina, containing a total of approx. 423 gelatin silver prints and thirty-one albumen prints, 3 x 4½in., to 8½ x 10½in., majority with captions in ink and printed titled labels on mounts, each with red lacquer boards, two depicting a woman in a Rickshaw, one of blosoms and birds, another of two women by a lake, gilt and ivory onlay, oblong 4to., oblong 8vo., and 8vo. (one disbound, another with loose upper cover, lacking spine). (4)

Includes portraits of the Osborne Family who had a house in Shanghi and witnessed the Boxer Rising, Regimental group portraits, ruins of cities and forts, native studies, Tientsin, Peitaicho, Shanghai, Peking, Loong-Mow.
