The hydrangea motif was effectively used by Tiffany in early windows, such as the example shown at the Paris Exposition Universelle in 1900, and that for Laurelton Hall, Tiffany's home on Long Island, circa 1902. Because of Tiffany's fascination with the hydrangea or "snowball" design, it was translated into floor and table lamps at nearly the same time and appears in the 1906 Price List published by the Studios in 1906.
